An interesting aerial shoot in Newport News. This one was for a company that installs the bollards on docks and piers, and wanted some photos and video to show off the project.
The Currituck Public Safety Building is now framed out, and the first floor floor is almost in place.

The Marina Villas Construction project in Norfolk has now come to an end. I will miss seeing it every few weeks.
Wow, the Virginia Beach oceanfront construction that started only a few months ago is already up to the 5th floor! I look forward to seeing how much it has grown every 2 weeks.
My ongoing construction project in Norfolk is getting closer to wrap up. At this point, there are only a few things to be done. Its been really interesting watching this building grow.
Construction is starting on the Currituck Public Safety Building. This will be a fun ongoing project, taking regular photos of progress.
A sunny day construction aerial shoot for Armada Hoffler, who have 2 projects under construction on 27th St., Virginia Beach.
This project involved a few more hoops to jump through; I had to apply for a special 2 year waiver from the FAA, and have to stay in contact with the tower at nearby Oceana Naval Air Station.
Following the reconstruction of the old Surf Rider restaurant at Vinings Landing Marine Center in Norfolk.
Our ongoing construction aerial photography project at Marina Villas on Shore Drive, Norfolk is going well. Over the last 2 weeks the roof (well, half of it) has really started taking shape.
The Marina Villas project is coming along very nicely, the 2nd floor is really taking shape, and now there are 130ft tall cranes to add to the fun :)
A beautiful day for the first shoot in an ongoing construction series for â€™Marina Villasâ€™ on Shore Drive, Norfolk.
This shoot was challenging because it was less than a mile from Norfolk International Airport.
I had to apply for permissions in advance using the LAANC system, which took a couple of days to sort out. Even with approval, my height was limited to 150ft..
A big shout out to Mrs. Miller, a very kind lady who helped me out when the system didnâ€™t seem to want to cooperate.
